English vocabulary for the advanced English language learner. Topic of lesson 2: Idioms and sayings that mean “easy”.

Vocabulary:

able to do something with one’s eyes closed: able to do something very easily, even without having to think about it or look at it. (Also literal. Also with can. Always affirmative.)
It’s easy. I can do it with my eyes closed. _ I can clean the house with my eyes closed! It’s easy!

rocket scientist: (Slang) brainiac, very intelligent and brilliant person, genius

child´s play: something very easy to do. The test was child’s play to her. Finding the right street was child’s play with a map.
